Pooh Costume

winnie the pooh costume

My daughter was in love with Winnie the Pooh and wanted to be Pooh for Halloween. She insisted on being "fluffy" like Pooh and I couldn't find a costume that we both liked, so I ended up making this one.

I started with a couple of yards of tan fur-like fabric and used a hoodie style sweatshirt as a pattern. It was fairly easy to cut the shoulder seams in small enough and adjust the sleeves. I also laid a pair of my shorts out to use as the legs and drew around a pair of shoes to make boot-covers for the feet. To finish it off, I cut a red t-shirt up the front for a vest. This picture shows the pumpkin bucket before we painted it black and wrote "huney" on the side. ______________________________________________________________
