Valentine Birthday Party & Heart Cake

Cute Cake For My Daughter's Valentine Birthday
I’ve always wanted to throw a Valentine birthday party for my daughter and now that she’s a teenager, she finally allowed me to throw one, since her birthday is on the 13th. I think this has something to do with the fact she’s dating and actually interested in Valentine’s Day now.
Together we planned out a nice party that was based around the colors white, red and black, which really looked classy for a teen party. I used plenty of red and white balloons, black and red streamers and added cut out heart decorations to the walls. On the tables, I started with nice black tablecloths, covered them with red heart confetti and added white vases filled with red roses and white carnations to add to the décor.
For favors, I filled up cute Valentine’s themed boxes with plenty of candy hearts and other Valentine’s day themed candy. I tied them off with ribbon and handed them out at the end of the party.
My daughter wanted a red velvet cake for her birthday, so I was determined to try to create one for her Valentine birthday party. I went with a simple round, double layer cake. I kept with the color scheme and iced it all in white. Then I added one large red heart in the middle and three other small red hearts. Then I added some black trimmings to the cake to give it a bit more personality. It went perfectly with the rest of the décor, my daughter was happy and I actually was complimented by several teens at the end of the party.
