Teen Movie Party Ideas
Lights, Camera, Action!!
Although a teen certainly isn't interested in character themed parties, they will enjoy a party centered around a particular movie and creating a movie theater atmosphere. The good news is that this doesn't have to be a big-budget production to have fun.
We started out by making some invitations to look like movie tickets.
We created a marquee out of poster board that greeted the guests as they arrived. It told them what movies would be showing that night. We hung some twinkling white Christmas lights around it to accent and draw attention to the marquee.
We set up a snack bar where all the guests were able to get all the junk a movie theater provides--popcorn, candy, soda, and hot dogs.
Whatever movie you choose then decorate the movie room in that theme. We hung some movie posters that we were able to get from our local theater.
To break things up play a game of movie star bingo during intermission. Create bingo cards that have the pictures of various movie stars that teens like. Use pieces of popcorn as markers. Whoever wins is given movie-sized candy bars.
Everyone had a great time and it was an easy-peasy, no-stress party zone for mom! Yeah!
