Add a bandana to the top of the head and an eye patch. You’ll have a cute pirate cupcake that will be a perfect favor to box up for guests.

If you need fun pirate party ideas for games, consider playing pin the sword on the pirate. This is a fun variation of pin the tail on the donkey. You will just need a big poster of a pirate and then some swords for each guest to try to place in his hand. Instead of using a blindfold, use a couple of eye patches to make sure that guests cannot see when it’s their turn to try an pin the sword on the pirate.

Pirate Decorations

When you’re trying to decorate for the party, consider the type of party you’re having. Are you throwing this party for a little boy or a young girl? Is this an adult pirate party? If you’re decorating for a boy’s birthday party, using plenty of blues, yellows and browns will make for great color choices. Even girls like pirates, so consider using some pink and black if you’re decorating for a girl’s pirate party. For adults, you can choose any color scheme. You may also want to consider decorating the party room with touches of décor to correspond with the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
