One Color Mall Scavenger Hunt

Start by picking a mall and dividing your group into teams. Place slips of paper with a primary color listed on each piece in a bag. Have a person from each team draw out one of the papers. Each team will photograph the items on their list in that particular color. No two teams will gather items in the same color.

Provide the teams with the list of items they need to photograph. Each team needs to have a digital, phone, or Polaroid camera to document their finds. The teams try to find the items in various stores within the allotted time. No two items may come from the same store. The teams must record the name of the store each item is found in, and take a photo of each item.

Be sure to lay a few ground rules like:

• Select a date when the mall won't be too busy and avoid the Christmas season.
• No shopping.
• No eating.
• No going to the mall movie theater.
• No going to the mall arcade.
• Remind everyone to be on their best behavior--no running, yelling, etc.

SCORING

• Each item collected is worth 1 point.
  
• Item beginning with the letter "X" shall be worth 5 points.
  
• The first team to finish shall receive 5 bonus points.
  
• For each minute a team is late, they will be penalized 1 point.
