Hockey Birthday Cake

hockey cake

This is a fairly easy cake to make. All you need to do is make your favorite mix and toss it into a rectangular cake pan that has rounded rather than squared off corners. After the cake bakes and cools down, then either cover it with white frosting or a piece of white fondant. Make the red and blue goal lines that you see in the picture by using a tube of icing like you buy in the grocery store or you can pipe out some frosting, whichever way you prefer. Make your hockey nets out of red fondant and place them onto the cake, along with a little hockey player made out of plastic.

After checking out my assortment of hockey cake images that display a hockey theme, you now know that there are several unique methods of designing this type of birthday cake. Before starting the task, first figure out which kind of hockey that the soon-to-be birthday boy or birthday girl enjoys. Examples include air hockey, ice hockey, field hockey, street hockey, ball hockey, box hockey, and skater hockey. You must also consider what position that the individual is assigned to, and the color of the uniforms that they wear – if any. You may even want to consider the celebrant’s favorite hockey player and/or team.

If you still need some additional instructions for creating a hockey cake, the following will help you make a simple cake:
