GOLF PARTY IDEAS FOR INVITATIONS
GOLF COURSE INVITES - Make invitations out of green cardstock to look like a putting green. Affix golf stickers to the green to place the hole, flag, and ball in the middle. Put all the party details on the back.
SCORECARD INVITES - Pick-up some scorecards from your local golf course. Use golf terminology like Tee Time (for the time of the party), Course (address of party), Course Length (end of party time), Water Hazards (if there is an opportunity for swimming), and Event Sponsor (for RSVP details) to announce your party.
GOLF PHOTO INVITES - Cut 8 1/2" x 11" card stock into 2 pieces and fold in half. Using decorative scissors, trim edges of a photo of the birthday honoree dressed in golf attire, so it is slightly smaller than the card stock. Glue photo to the front of the invitation. Put "Happy Birdie To You!" above the photo. On textured white paper (finished size 4 1/2" x 7 1/2") either type or handwrite in calligraphy the party details and decorate the edges with golf stickers.
GOLF PARTY IDEAS FOR COSTUMES
Encourage your guests to all wear outrageous golf attire and hold a contest. Give golf-related prizes for the most colorful outfit, the craziest golf hat, the shirt that has a golf logo that is the farthest away, the craziest socks, etc.
If you're thinking of investing in a Golf Costume, here's a few options for you to consider.
GOLF PARTY IDEAS FOR DECORATIONS
Set the tone for your golf party by using some of the following ideas for decorations:
- Make a banner for the front door or cover the door with butcher paper and say "Welcome To (Name's) Golf PAR-TEE!"
- Create golf flags using wood dowels and various colored fabrics or felt cut into the shape of flags. Line your walkway with the flags or place them throughout your yard.
- Create standees of professional golfers. Have your local copy shop blow up photos of golfers to life-size and glue to pieces of cardboard and place at various locations like the front door, the buffet table, the back door, etc.
- Hang golf posters on the walls that depict various courses and players.
- Here's a great
Golf Birthday Banner
that can be personalized with a photo and birthday greeting.
- Set-up golf bags around party area to help create the golf atmosphere.
- Cover your tables with green tablecloths or Astroturf.
- Sprinkle golf tees on the tabletops.
- Place a bucket of golf balls with a few flags coming out of the bucket in the center of the tables. Tie some green balloons to the bucket. You can use chocolate golf balls or real ones.
- Use indoor/outdoor grass carpet to create placemat "putting greens." Shape each one differently to add variety.
- Twist green and yellow streamers throughout the party room.
- When it comes to golf party ideas, you want to think of how to transform a room into a theme. Hang green and white fabrics on the walls or use
Green & White Gossamer

GOLF PARTY IDEAS FOR FOOD
When it comes to golf party ideas for food, the options are endless. A buffet style table, which would allow everyone to pick and choose what they would like to have is a perfect choice or you can opt to just provide simple munchies.
HAMBURGERS & HOTDOGS - A BBQ is always a perfect add-on after a day at the golf course.
MAKE YOUR OWN PARTY KABOBS - Thaw pizza bites, chicken nuggets, and breadstick dough cut into bite-sized pieces. Add mini hotdogs, cheese cubes, and cut-up veggies. Have everyone create their own kabobs on wooden skewers, bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes.
PIZZA - Either order pizzas or have everyone make their own. Provide bowls of cut-up pepperoni, ham, BBQ chicken, sausage, sliced olives, mushrooms, onions, pineapple bits, shredded mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and pizza sauce. Give each person an individual-sized pizza crust and let them create their own pizzas.
BAKED POTATO BAR - Provide bowls of butter, sour cream, bacon bits, shredded cheddar cheese or heated cheddar cheese soup, cooked broccoli, fresh chives, etc.
TACO BAR - Provide shells, shredded chicken, hamburger, sour cream, lettuce, shredded cheese, salsa, etc.
NACHO BAR - Provide tortilla chips, hamburger, melted cheese, salsa, tomatoes, jalapeno peppers, sour cream, olives, etc.
VEGIES & DIP - cut up carrots, celery, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower and provide a Ranch dip.
DRINKS - Bottled water, soda, juice, etc. Here's a fun
Sporty Can Golf Ball Cooler that would be a perfect theme item to hold your drinks.
GOLF PARTY IDEAS FOR CAKES

GOLF COURSE CAKE #1 - - Make or buy a sheet cake. Either airbrush it green or frost it with green frosting. Create a sand trap using crushed graham cracker crumbs. Create a water hazard using blue gel icing. Create the hole by placing a sucker stick, that has a flag-shaped piece of construction paper on the top, in an area of the cake. Place plastic golf figurines on the cake. Use a tiny drop of white frosting to create the ball.
GOLF COURSE CAKE #2 - Make or buy a round cake. Create the golf green on one area of the cake using a piece of green fondant, green-colored sugar, green frosting or gel. Add a flag using a toothpick and a piece of colored paper cut in a triangle shape and glued to the toothpick. Use a tiny drop of white frosting to create the ball. Write various golf phrases like "Birdie", "Eagle", "Hole In One", "Fore", etc. on the side of the cake.
