Fun & Fabulous Bowling Party Cake
Fun Bowling Cake
Since my son is a huge bowling fan, I wanted to make his 10th birthday a special one by throwing him a bowling themed party. I’m not really into bowling, so I looked online and talked to some bowling friends for some good bowling party ideas to help me out.
I used red and white as my main colors for the party, which made it easier to come up with bowling party ideas for decorations. The tables were done in red and white, I used red and white balloons and streamers and I even used these colors for the plates and other paper goods.
We had plenty of bowling fun for games, since I bought a nice indoor bowling set that was plastic so the kids could have some fun bowling. We even tried a version of human bowling, which was hilarious.
My real challenge was the cake. How could I design a cake to go along with the other bowling party ideas? Instead of a traditional cake, I decided to go with a cupcake cake. I decorate 10 cupcakes to look like bowling pins, decorating them in red and white. Then I used a simple chocolate cupcake with three M&Ms to look like a bowling ball that would take out those pins. The kids loved it. One note, I’d suggest two of these cakes if you’ll be serving more than 11 little guests.
