Elmo Birthday Cake Extraordinare
Elmo was made with Rice Crispy treats and royal icing. The birthday gifts on the cake were also made out of Rice Crispy treats. Clients did not want too much fondant, so we used as little as possible on actual cake.
Isn’t Elmo just so adorable on top of this cake? This is one of the cutest Elmo cakes and it sure looks like it could feed a crowd. What a fun idea to make Elmo out of Rice Crispy treats – definitely tasty! This cute cake made me come up with some fun ideas for an Elmo birthday party.Elmo Party Decoration Ideas
If you’re decorating for an Elmo birthday party, you aren’t just stuck with red as your primary color. Take a look at all the Sesame Street characters and use some of the colors of the other characters in your color palette as well. While you’ll want the focus to be on Elmo, you can always use pictures, banners and stuffed toys of other Sesame Street characters as well.Elmo Party Game Ideas
It is nice to have some fun games at your Elmo birthday party as well. For school age children, consider some printout pages of “Where’s Elmo?” These pages have a hidden Elmo on the page that kids have to find. The object is to see who can find Elmo first. If you do not want to do printout pages, why not have an Elmo scavenger hunt. Hide Elmo pictures or stuffed Elmo’s around the party area and let the kids search for them to see who can find the most. Make sure you give it a time limit to keep the game from taking too long.
Does your child have a favorite Sesame Street episode that features Elmo? If so, play it for your young party guests. One episode is short enough to keep their attention and it’s the perfect time to get the food ready for your guests to enjoy.
