Bear Gone Wrong - Cake Wrecks
I tried making a bear cake for my uncle's birthday. His favorite animal is a bear, because it has been his nickname since he was young. The 3D aspect of the cake came out pretty well, but the look of the bear itself didn't come out anything like what I wanted. It looked more like a chewbacca than a bear. He still liked it anyway.

Cake Gone Wrong
I wanted to make a fun and bright cake for my son's 2nd birthday, what better than a chocolate birthday cake with blue butter-cream frosting and pink polka-dots? In this case, pretty much anything.
I let the cake sit too long in the pan, and then it wouldn't come out. After turning it over and whacking the bottom a bit, it came out, but in 2 pieces. I just figured I could use the frosting to 'glue' it back together, only it fell apart again, once it was frosted. Then as I was mixing the colors for the frostings, I could not get any assemblance of a decent color. I ended up adding too much food coloring and fussing with it so much that it got all soupy and runny.
The cake tasted great. My son, thankfully was 2, and just happy to stuff handfuls of cake into his mouth. But I, on the other hand, was rather mortified to even serve it.

Chocolate Cake- Cake Wrecks
At what point does someone stop making a horrible cake? Did they really think adding the pink roses would make it ok?

Ice Cream Cake - Cake Wrecks
It was my sister's birthday and I decided to make her an ice cream cake. I attempted this once before and it turned out quite well, so I thought I’d give it another go. Well, obviously it didn't go so well this time. They say it's the thought that counts.

Kermit The Frog Gone Wrong
My son recently had his 4th birthday and I decided to make his cake myself. He likes to play with frogs and his favorite cartoon character is Kermit the Frog.
I knew I wanted to make a frog cake, but had no idea what I was doing. I baked the cake in a Pyrex glass bowl, thinking this could be the body of the frog. After I baked the cake I thought I could just add icing and decorate around the cake to make it look like a frog. Obviously I need to do more practice. However, my son loved the cake and thought it looked like a frog.

Not The Best Looking Cake
I tried to bake a cake for my boy`s 3rd birthday. I bought a book of recipes and all the ingredients, but I forgot one very important ingredient: Talent. You can see in the picture why a man`s place isn`t in the kitchen. Luckily, my wife bought another cake as a backup, and the guests never saw the horror.

Big Pink Mess
The Most Awful Valentine's Cake Ever
Believe it or not, I have made this cake before and it turned out great, but this time it was a mess. It is supposed to be a snowball cake so it cooks in a pyrex bowl and the first problem was, it fell apart when it came out of the bowl. Second, I forgot to buy Cool Whip which is supposed to be the frosting. I made powdered sugar frosting instead, but it didn't cover up the broken cake. Then I tried to dye the coconut pink, but it didn't come out the way I had planned. The cake tasted fine but it sure was an eyesore to look at.
