Lay the foundation for an exciting Bob the Builder birthday party using a few of these excellent Bob the Builder part ideas for decorations:

  • Put a construction zone yard sign in your front yard to alert guests of your party's location.

  • Place orange construction cones or colorful construction cones along your walkway.

  • Line your walkway with some fun construction caution party tape.

  • Using yellow poster board, make your own construction signs for the yard, attach them to a stake, and then place them in the ground. Great ideas for signs include: "WARNING! BIRTHDAY PARTY AHEAD", "CAUTION! CONSTRUCTION KIDS PLAYING", "RESTRICTED! BIRTHDAY BUILDERS ONLY.” You could also purchase party signs with a construction theme that will look like real construction signs.

  • At the entryway, you can use plenty of yellow, blue and orange streamers to make your own canopy. Attach them to the walls and the ceiling to make the canopy and let kids have fun walking through all the streamers as they enter the party.

  • Decorate your ceilings using balloon clusters and streamers in your party colors of orange, yellow and/or blue.

  • Decorate your archways and/or doorways using the Construction Caution Tape for your guests to walk through when going from room to room.

  • Tie blue, yellow, and orange helium balloons to your guests' chairs. Tie Bob the Builder Mylar balloons to the birthday child's chair.

  • Use Bob the Builder, orange, blue or yellow tablecloths to cover tables, using some caution tape to tie off the corners.

  • Use beans and brown sugar as rocks and dirt, sprinkling them on tables. Use toy tractors, trucks and bulldozers to make fun centerpieces.

  • Create traffic signs for walls. "Children at Work", "Yield", "Caution", "Construction Zone", "Work Zone", "Hazard", "Danger", "Hard Hat Area", "No Admittance", etc.

  • Decorate walls and front door with oversized tools, Bob the Builder posters, and blueprints.

  • Use clean, unused paint cans to hold snack foods.

  • Add to the atmosphere with some traffic lights.

  • If you have areas you don’t want your guests to enter, put up some “Keep Out” signs.

  • Add a personalized Bob the Builder Birthday Banner on your wall for your little construction foreman.

  • Add “Big Digger” the bulldozer in your front yard for something extra-special. Not only will it show everyone where you’re having the party, but it will be the perfect backdrop for pictures as well.

CONSTRUCTION BREW – For drinks, serve up yellow orange juices, Kool-Aid or some Gatorade.

BOB THE BUILDER SUGAR COOKIES – Whip up some sugar cookie dough, then cut out cookies with some construction themed cookie cutters. Top with yellow or orange icing, using nonpareils, sprinkles, edible glitter and other decorations to finish the cookies.

½ cup of softened butter
3 cups of milk
1 package of Oreos
1 tub of Cool Whip (12 oz), thawed
1 package of softened cream cheese, 8oz
2 packages of instant chocolate pudding (3.5oz)
1 cup of powdered sugar
1 small bag of Gummi worms (it’s nice to have enough so every child gets one with their cake)

Crush up all the Oreo cookies in a food processor, or place in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin. In a clean dump truck that has been lined with foil, put about 1/3 of the crushed Oreos. In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, vanilla, butter and sugar until smooth. Set to the side. In another bowl, combine the pudding mixes and the milk, mixing well. Add the thawed Cool Whip to the pudding, then add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding. Add a layer of the pudding mixture on top of the cookie crumbs, add another layer of crumbs, and then continue layering until both are all gone. Add some of the Gummi worms in the “dirt” so it looks like they are crawling out. Refrigerate for at least four hours. When ready to serve, set the mood by using a plastic shovel for serving.

BOB THE BUILDER BIRTHDAY PARTY CAKE – Bake a white sheet cake, then make buttercream icing, adding food coloring or gel to make the right colors for grass, the sky, roads and dirt. Add a sky, grass, dirt and roads to the top of the cake, topping the cake with Bob the Builder, construction workers, plastic trucks and other toys that go along with the theme. Write, “Happy Birthday (Child’s Name) the Builder” in icing or cake gel.

TOOLS CAKE - Make or buy a sheet cake and top it off with plastic tools or an edible sugar art image.

CONSTRUCTION CAKE - Make or buy a sheet cake and add a construction themed cake topper.

CONSTRUCTION HARD HAT CAKE – Make up yellow cakes, baking one in a single layer cake pan and another in a medium Pyrex bowl. Allow cakes to cool, then use the single layer cake to make the rim of the hat, placing the bowl cake on top to make the hat. Use yellow frosting to frost the “hat” and write “FOREMAN (CHILD”S NAME) on the front of your hat cake.

BOB THE BUILDER CUPCAKES - Make or buy cupcakes and top them off with some cute little Bob The Builder pics.

TOOLS CUPCAKES - Make or buy cupcakes and top them off with some cute little tools made our of sugar.
