Army Party Games - Rope Climb Competition
by Julie Bellman
You're Looking At The Next Rope Climbing Champ!
This is a game where every man is for himself. Tie a sturdy rope to a tree limb and time each of the kids as they climb to the top of the rope and touch a designated knot to target. Whoever climbs up the rope the fastest shall be the winner.
For army birthday parties, Julie’s game is sure to be one of the fun army party games that kids will enjoy when they attend a party. Need some more spot on arm party games? This game made me think of a few more great ideas.
One cool game idea is to do a “barbed wire crawl.” Of course you won’t use real barbed wire, but instead use yarn or other string and some posts to create a fake “barbed wire run” for the guests to crawl under. Make sure the string or yarn is taut enough so kids can’t raise themselves up while crawling through. Time kids as they take turns going through the barbed wire crawl. The one who makes it through the fastest will win the game.
Another idea for army party games is to create your own cool obstacle course in the back yard for your little “soldiers” to run. Create the course using stations that require pushups, stations where you have to crawl over items, and areas where you have to jump over things, such as small swimming pools. Add as many stations to the obstacle course as you can come up with. Once again, this is a timed game that will add some excitement to army birthday parties. Have kids run the course, if they want to, and be sure to time them. Award first, second and third place to the top three fastest kids on the course.
Just make sure that the games you choose are fun and not too competitive. You don’t want anyone to get hurt at your party. Make safety the first priority so you can make sure that everyone has an awesome time at the army birthday parties.
