Arabian Nights Party
Your Wish Is My Command!
For my 16th birthday, I decided to have an Arabian Nights Party. It is very inexpensive and easy to organize. I invited 12 close friends and we all dressed up in Arabian attire. Everyone looked fantastic.
For decorations, I had deep colored material and streamers hanging from the roof to the floor. I also had big cushions and Persian rugs spread everywhere with lanterns and candles used as lighting.
For activities, we did belly dancing, henna painting and tattoos. I gave everyone a bindi as they entered the house and three wishes.
For food we served papadums, samosas, rice, chicken and spicy food for those daring.
For favors, I gave out elephant statues, luck coins, red nail polish, gold chocolate coins, gold jewelry, candles and beaded boxes. They were all placed in embellished gold boxes with the recipient’s name engraved on them.
Everyone had a great time and said it was the best, most original party they had been to that year.Reply: Great Ideas, But I Gotta Add My Two Bits
Natalie had some great teen party ideas for an Arabian Nights party. I love her idea of using Persian rugs, cushions and plenty of candles and lanterns. If you think that you need a little more light, don't opt for the standard 60 watt bulbs, but rather pull out those mini white Christmas lights and start stringing them up.
This incredible décor is sure to create a wonderful, exotic atmosphere for all your teen party guests. These delightful ideas got my imagination wheels turning and I came up with a few more of my own that you may want to use.MORE DECOR IDEAS
One of the fun teen party ideas for decorations
that will really add to your Arabian Nights party is to add beautiful red, purple and gold fabric to all your party tables. These colors go wonderfully with the theme. You can also scatter treasure chests around the room, filling them with faux gold coins and jewels or perhaps fill them with the chocolate foil coins if you want them to do double-duty and provide a fun dish decorative to hold a munchie. Genie lamps will also add to the party's ambiance, along with the burning of incense. Be sure to download a playlist so you can have Middle Eastern type of music playing throughout the party.MORE ACTIVITY IDEAS
If you need some fun activities, one of the fun teen party ideas is to have some a fake fortune teller tell the guest’s future for them. You can also have a movie area where guests can see great movies that go along with the theme, such as Lawrence of Arabia, Aladdin, or The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.CAKE IDEA
For a fun cake, make 3 different layers (pillows) each getting smaller as you go towards the top. Cover each "pillow" (layer) with a different color of fondant. On one pillow put some squiggly lines, on another some dots, and on the third pipe out some diamond shapes. Ultimately you want them to look like Arabian nights pillows that are stacked up. For a topper you could add a belly dancer knick-knack. You could also create some "tassels" out of frosting for the corners or use real ones if you don't want to be bothered creating all the tiny lines of frosting for the tassels.Feel Free To Comment & Add Your Two Bits
